Monday, April 18th the Sheldon Fire Department held a fire rescue drill at the Sheldon River Country Feed Mill. Four teams of rescuers blindly entered a simulated fire at the mill. They endured obstacles and had to reenact rescuing bodies.
The Sheldon Fire Department has a 35-member team. There are 26 active members and about 16 firefighters to make each fire call. Members of the department that are River Country Co-op employees as well are Assistant Fire Chief, Scott Stewart, and Captain, Dan Carillon.
